Rose Gold & Floral Bridal Shower

My beautiful best friend Aly is getting married in November, and all of her bridesmaids hosted a beautiful bridal shower. We went for a floral/rose gold theme and let me tell you -- it turned out SO beautiful!

I used craft paper under the mirrors! Such an inexpensive touch to elevate a centerpiece!

This cake is from Wal-Mart and the flowers on top are fake.

The personalized recipe box was from Etsy

I made this giant polaroid frame from foam board and the flowers and hashtag are make from paper! I used the same paper throughout a lot of the decorations.

Me and my bestie, Ashley. Her wedding is next May!

Floral Baby Sprinkle

My beautiful sister-in-law is expecting a sweet baby girl! Since this is her second child, I wanted to throw her a baby sprinkle! It's a chance to celebrate Scartlett's eventual arrival and so that she could get some girly stuff, since her firstborn was a boy.

I wanted the theme to be similar to her nursery theme, so that she could use the decorations in her nursery. The nursery had floral, wood, pink, and gold accents.

The invitation (Note: Personal information changed for privacy)
My friend Aly made the centerpieces. They are mason jars, painted, with silk peonies. We used the centerpieces and notebooks as the prizes for the games.

Paper lanterns are an extremely cute and affordable decoration! I used command hooks to secure them to the ceiling. And I strung them together at different heights.

The guestbook table! I bought the wood letters, wood frame , and canvas floral art from Hobby Lobby. The lantern was ordered from amazon.

The fingerprint guestbook was so cute!

The game sheets. We played, Old Wives' Tale Trivia and Guess Who: Mommy or Daddy?

Answers to the Old Wives' Tale Trivia:

The cake was ordered from Sam's Club.

Fruit tray. Framed art from Hobby Lobby.

Yogurt and granola.
Homemade chicken salad on croissants. They were absolutely delicious, and eventually I'll post the recipe!

Paper straws from amazon.
Also, I printed out coloring pages and bought crayons for the kids who came. It was a great way to keep them entertained!

Circus Theme First Birthday Party

Lucy and Levi turned one!! And it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Around eighty of our friends and family came over to celebrate with us. Lucy and Levi had a wonderful time being passed around. And when it came to eat some cake, Levi had two fistfuls and smeared it in his hair while Lucy couldn't keep her eyes open (it was nap time). We sang "Happy Birthday" to both kids individually because although they share a birthday, I want them to feel like it's a special day for both of them.

We also passed around "If I Ran The Circus" book by Dr. Seuss for our guests to sign and write a note for the twins.

Activities for the kids:
We had a plethora of things for the kiddos to play with; a ball pit, face painting, temporary tattoos, punch balloons, clown noses, crazy straws, and a water table.

The Menu:
For appetizers we had a fruit tray, veggie tray, chips of every variety, pickle roll up dip, and queso dip. We put popcorn and chex mix on the tables.

Our lunch was fried and grilled chicken from Jewel, Jimmy Johns sandwiches, pasta salad, potato salad, and 7 layer salad.

For dessert we served snow cones, cheesecake, cotton candy, clown cupcakes, and a three tiered circus cake from Sams Club.

For drinks, we used a kiddy pool filled with ice. And the drink dispensers and wine were kept on a table on the patio.

Welcome to the Davis Family Circus!
